Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd shift Quality Inspector to monitor and measure products on the manufacturing floor in Walker, MI. You will escalate nonconforming product, conduct layer audits, and ensure containment and packing requirements align with customer specs.

The role requires reading and following instructions in English, standing for long shifts, and prior quality experience. Company offers ESOP and a strong benefits package including medical/dental/vision and a 401(k) match.

Competenze

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours daily.
• Strong reading/writing/speaking English for safety and instructions.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 6 months quality experience.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Inspect and gauge raw or welded parts per operator checklist to ensure customer specifications.
• Verify first piece inspection and approval per the company process.
• Support quality containment when internal/external failures occur.
• Perform daily Layered Process Audits to verify adherence to procedures.
• Ensure parts are packed per packaging instructions to meet customer requirements.
• Complete appropriate paperwork and documentation.
• Meet daily production requirements.
