Job summary

US Farathane is seeking a Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift to support the Quality System. This role audits in-process product, completes documentation, and assists with quality tasks based on customer demand in a manufacturing environment.

As a member of the US Farathane team, you will inspect materials and finished parts, verify conformance to specs, re-work when needed, and use precision measuring tools. Strong reading, math, and communication skills are essential; experience with inspection

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; or 3–6 months related experience or equivalent combination
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence, and to speak and present information effectively before groups
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to do simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Ability to add positive and negative numbers and apply common sense to carry out instructions
• Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Knowledge of inspection techniques and measurement instrument usage
• Knowledge of quality systems and standards

Responsibilities

• Examine and inspect materials and parts to discover defects, wear, and tear
• Ensure products or parts conform to work orders, specifications, blueprints, and templates
• Inspect materials and finished parts and adjust processes as needed
• Re-work parts per work instructions
• Use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment
• Other duties as assigned
