Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to uphold world-class quality across our production processes. You will perform material and component inspections, run electrical and mechanical tests, document findings, and support continuous improvement in a hands-on environment.

Ideal candidates have a Welding/Mechanical background with 3+ years in fabrication and painting, plus familiarity with NAS and NDT methods. SAP ERP and MS Office proficiency are a plus in a safety-focused setting.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Welding or Mechanical Technology or a high school diploma/GED.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in fabrication and painting processes.
Certified Welding Inspector (AWS) and ASNT NDT Level II VT preferred.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting 2D fabrication drawings and technical data.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections on raw materials, fabricated components, and sub-assemblies.
Conduct electrical, mechanical, and visual tests to ensure compliance.
Identify and document defects, escalating issues when necessary.
Maintain inspection records and prepare quality documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns.
Support continuous improvement by analyzing recurring defects.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
