Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Engineer at the ADFED LLC site to lead quality improvement on the factory floor. You will partner with manufacturing teams to reduce defects, solve complex technical challenges, and drive processes that ensure high reliability in demanding environments.

The role emphasizes data-driven root cause analysis, quality metrics, and audits. Shift differential eligibility applies, and travel or export controls may be required for some programs.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or Bachelor’s degree in engineering and equivalent experience in electronics manufacturing (2+ years).
  • Proven leadership and effective oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of RCCA (root cause corrective action).
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 and related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Quality Group metrics to senior staff at regular intervals.
  • Defines process improvements with design and manufacturing to ensure compliance and NPI.
  • Documents procedures and workflows via process audits.
  • Reviews Quality clauses during RFQs and new purchase orders with contracts and program management.
  • Supports and hosts customer audits; supports supplier and ISO certification audits.
  • Drives quality improvement towards Zero Defect Philosophy; applies RCCA tools to increase yields.
  • Develops metrics and implements quality dashboards; improves supplier KPIs.
  • Designs procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products and production equipment.
  • Performs root cause verification and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Supports MRB/TRB/Change requests weekly as needed.

We're seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Engineer to be a key driver of operational excellence, partnering directly with manufacturing teams to reduce defects, solve complex technical challenges, and continuously improve processes that support high-reliability products. This position is on 2nd Shift and includes shift differential eligibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides Quality Group metrics to senior staff at regular intervals.
  • Works closely with design and manufacturing groups to define process improvements and ensures compliance to manufacturing processes and new product introduction (NPI).
  • Works cross-functionally on documentation to improve procedures and workflows via process audits.
  • Works with contracts and program management to review Quality clauses during RFQs and new purchase orders
  • Provides support and hosts customer audits.
  • The candidate will also support supplier audits and ISO certification audits.
  • Drive quality improvement not limited to: Zero Defect Philosophy
  • Apply risk mitigation and FMEA tools to increase yields
  • Improve Supplier KPIs
  • Develop new ideas for metrics and implement through a quality dashboard
  • Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
  • Works root cause corrective actions and performs verification to prevent recurrence.
  • Support MRB/TRB/Change requests on a weekly basis as needed.
Qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Master’s degree in engineering or Bachelor’s degree in engineering and equivalent experience in electronics manufacturing environment (2+ years)
  • Proven leadership and effective oral communication skills
  • An understanding of root cause corrective action (RCCA)
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems: ISO9001, AS9100, and other related systems
  • Able to deal with multiple issues simultaneously and have the awareness of setting priorities.
  • Must have good Engineering skills regarding machining, tolerancing, reading source control drawings and general electrical engineering skills.
  • For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.

Salary and Benefits
  • The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $75,200 to $103,400. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
  • This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
