Job summary

URBAN FARMER in the United States is seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee QA activities across the plant, ensuring HACCP/GMP compliance and ISO standards to protect product safety, integrity, and customer satisfaction.

You will lead QA operations, manage audits, supervise HACCP plans, monitor in-process values, oversee the QC lab and sample submissions, and train QC technicians and temporary staff to uphold GMP, FSQA, and food safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field required.
• PCQI and HACCP certification preferred.
• Experience supervising QA in food manufacturing is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct all QA activities for the plant, including sanitation, WIP and finished product analysis, package integrity testing, and process control.
• Conduct and manage plant audits focusing on GMPs, sanitation, and regulatory compliances.
• Oversee HACCP plans and records, review CCPs and QCPs daily.
• Review daily in-process values to ensure customer specifications and provide daily QA reports to management.
• Lead Hold & Release program adherence and manage laboratory sample submission to third-party labs.
• Provide GMP, HACCP, Food Defense, and Food Safety training for QC staff and contractors.
