Job summary

Techmer PM in Dalton, GA is seeking a QC Technician for 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs, 7:00PM-7:30AM). You will perform quality control testing, color adjustments, and COA preparation to ensure products meet specs.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and 2+ years of lab experience. Proficiency with color spectrophotometers and basic software is preferred. We offer competitive benefits and a robust 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum 2 years of compounding or lab experience.
• Prior experience using a color spectrophotometer (Xrite, DataColor, or equivalent).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate process equipment including lab 26MM, pellet melter and fiber lines.
• Operate analytical test equipment for plastic applications including Melt Indexer and Volatile/Moisture analyzer.
• Perform inspection per the Product and Process (P&P) Specification.
• Adjust color on-line or off-line and consult with manufacturing supervisor on run vs. pull decisions.
• Utilize statistical tools such as SQC/SPC when applicable.
• Identify out-of-control data points and take appropriate action.
• Complete Certificate of Analysis (COA) with required information.
• Investigate nonconforming raw materials and manufactured products and take corrective action.
• Maintain product QC files and data records.
