Job summary

Aapstaff is seeking an Incoming Quality Control Inspector to inspect and sample all incoming components and raw ingredients. The role reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and requires attention to detail in visual inspection, labeling, and documentation.

Responsibilities include completing inspection reports, tagging and quarantining failed components, inspecting finished goods, and maintaining logs for non-conformances and incoming QC. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Career level: Experienced (Non-Manager)
• Education: High School or Equivalent; some college helpful

Responsibilities

• Visually examine components for discrepancies.
• Label or tag all components that pass inspection.
• Accurately complete the Quality Control Component Inspection Report.
• Tag with holds and quarantine all failed components.
• Inspect all finished goods.
• Complete the incoming inspection report for finished goods.
• Monitor and record defectives using a Z1.4 inspection chart.
• Notify supervisor when defect率 exceeds limits and full unit inspection is required.
• Notify all parties when a discrepancy is identified.
• Update the QC incoming log and the non-conformance log.
• Inspect all outgoing and incoming components from 3rd party suppliers.
• Inspect all UPC labels.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Title: Incoming Quality Control Inspector

Reports to Quality Assurance Manager

Summary: The Quality Control inspector responsibility is to inspect and sample all incoming components and raw ingredients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The Quality Control will visually examine component for discrepancies
• Responsible and in charge of labeling or tagging all components with a component Identification tag if components pass inspection.
• Responsible for accurately completing the Quality Control Component Inspection Report
• In charge of tagging (with a hold tag) and quarantining all failed components.
• Conduct inspections of all finished goods
• Responsible for the completion of the incoming inspection report of finished goods form
• In charge of monitoring and recording number of defectives identified by using a Z1.4 inspection chart
• Inform department supervisor when percentage of defective components exceeds allowable limits, requiring inspection of entire unit output.
• Responsible to notify and inform all parties involved when a discrepancy is identified.
• Responsible for updating the QC incoming log.
• Responsible for updating the non conformance log
• Responsible for inspecting all outgoing and incoming components from 3rd party company.
• Inspection all UPC labels
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
