Job summary

Reser’s Fine Foods in Topeka, KS seeks a Supervisor- Food Quality Assurance on the 2nd shift to lead QA Technicians and ensure food safety and quality programs are followed. The role focuses on training, CCP monitoring, and corrective actions within a fast-paced plant environment.

The candidate should hold a relevant degree, possess supervisory skills, and have HACCP/SQF PCQI and internal audit certifications to drive continuous improvement and compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S. or A.A. in Food Science/Technology, Microbiology or related field.
• Supervisory experience; demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of co-workers and management.
• Proficient computer skills; e-mail, Word, Excel; LX and PKMS helpful.
• HACCP, SQF PCQI and Internal Auditor certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring and training of QA Technicians; manage overtime and schedules.
• Review CCP monitoring and Pre-shipment records; verify corrective actions.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions for CCP deviations and processing issues.
• Oversee implementation of department programs and ensure adherence to requirements.
• Assist with new product launches; participate in tests, track analytical data.
• Investigate issues with quality tools and root cause analysis; implement preventive actions.
• Attend monthly Safety / Food Safety trainings and related sessions.
