Job summary

tmmclean is seeking a second shift janitor to maintain cleanliness in commercial and institutional facilities in Mentor, OH. The role involves cleaning fixtures, floors, and surfaces across rooms, lobbies, restrooms, and common areas, with attention to safety and quality.

Applicants should have no prior experience required; English literacy is needed to follow instructions and communicate with staff. Physical stamina is essential for routine lifting and movement.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: No prior experience or training.
• Language ability: English reading, writing, and comprehension.
• Math ability: basic arithmetic with dollars, weights, volume and distance.
• Reasoning ability: perform simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, finishes, and polishes floor.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
