Job summary

Heaven Hill Brands is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Team Member to assure packaging quality at the Deep Eddy Vodka facility. You will inspect bottles, perform line cleaning, and collaborate with the team to meet quality standards on the bottling line.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year in manufacturing, attention to packaging quality, strong communication, and schedule flexibility including weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Keen eye for product and packaging quality; team-oriented.
• Excellent verbal communication with team and supervisor.
• Flexibility in schedule and some weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect bottles to ensure packaging quality as bottles proceed on the bottling line.
• Clean bottling lines during and after daytime production.
• Collaborate with team to ensure packaging meets quality standards.
• Examine items on bottles for component accuracy.
• Maintain 5S cleanliness: sweeping, mopping, cleaning, cataloging.

What The Role Is

The 2nd Shift Production Team Member is responsible for assuring the overall quality of packaging at the Deep Eddy Vodka production facility. This includes visually inspecting product and making repairs as necessary.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday from 4:00pm - 2:30am

How Will You Spend Your Time?

• Inspect bottles to ensure quality of packaging as bottles proceed through bottling line.
• Clean bottling lines throughout days production and post production.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure packaging meets quality standards.
• Examine all items on bottles for component accuracy.
• Organize work area using 5S techniques which include sweeping, mopping, cleaning, cataloging and maintaining the area.
• Transfer cases weighing up to 50 pounds to keep production moving.
• Assemble knockdown cases as needed.
• Operate manual or electric pallet jacks to disperse components and finished goods throughout work area.
• Discard outdated or defective product.
• Utilize compactors to bail cardboard.
• Perform additional requests provided by Supervisor to guarantee efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of work related experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Keen eye for product and package quality requirements.
• Shared vision while working within the constructs of a team.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with team members and Supervisor
• Schedule flexibility along with some weekend availability.

Valued But Not Required Skills And Experience

• Previous forklift experience in a warehouse environment

Physical Requirements

While performing duties of job, employee is frequently required to:

• Stand; climb stairs; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work 10 hour shifts on feet while bending, kneeling, squatting, pulling and lifting cases up to 50 pounds.
