Job summary

Winona Foods, a locally owned cheese manufacturer and distributor in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is hiring for a Production Support Lead on the 2nd shift. The role leads teams moving materials and supervising de-boxer personnel in a refrigerated warehouse setting.

The position requires a high school diploma, warehouse experience, and proficiency with computer systems. Competitive benefits accompany the full-time role on a 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklift.
• Use the Warehouse Management System to manage inventory and orders.
• Create and close work orders for rework, trim, and processing solids.
• Collaborate with the production Team Lead on pre-shift meetings and related items.
• Participate in cycle counts for raw materials and corrugate.
• Pick cheese, ingredients, packaging and other raw materials for production.
• Oversee the manual cheese de-boxer personnel.
• Ensure completion and accuracy of pre-shift forklift inspections.
• Maintain FIFO for all materials and finished goods.
• Wrap pallets and stack them in pallet racking.

Summary

Under the direction of the Production Support Supervisor, the Production Support Lead is engaged in leading the teams that move raw and finished materials to identified locations as well as providing direction to the manual cheese de-boxer personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Drive forklift
2. Use the company’s Warehouse Management System
3. Create and close work orders for rework, trim, and processing solids
4. Collaborate with the production Team Lead on pre-shift meeting and other items as needed
5. Participate in our cycle count program to include raw materials and corrugate
6. Pick cheese, ingredients, packaging and/or other raw materials for production
7. Oversee the manual cheese de-boxer personnel
8. Check to ensure completion and accuracy of the pre-shift forklift inspection
9. Ensure the FIFO of all raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
10. Wrap pallets and stack them in pallet racking
11. De-stage materials in a timely manner
12. Work safely and ensuring the rest of the team is following proper safety protocols
13. Comply with our company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
14. All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous warehouse experience is preferred. Ability to use computer systems.

Work Environment

This position primarily works in a cooler environment. Temperatures are usually around 38 - 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
