Job summary

Dauch is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead people and operations toward safety, quality, and productivity goals in a 2nd shift environment. The role includes staffing, coaching, and enforcing safety standards, with training on the 1st shift for 2–3 months.

The position requires overseeing daily production activities, coordinating with other departments, communicating results to management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining high quality and efficient

Qualifications

• 3-5 Years supervisory experience in a PM manufacturing facility is highly preferred.
• Ability to communicate using both written and verbal forms of communication.
• Experience handling complex employee relations matters.
• Solid computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
• Assign work and manage staffing to ensure efficient operations.
• Train employees and provide ongoing coaching and development.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Work closely with other departments and shift supervisors to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
• Communicate production results, issues, and opportunities to management.
• Direct, supervise and coordinate production operations.
• React to and take action upon non-value added or cost issues that may arise during production activities.
• Recognize and react to equipment issues.
• Provide input to management to facilitate effective cost reduction, work simplification, scheduling, or other continuous improvement measures.
• Review performance, coach for improvement, and set objectives for all reporting to this position.
• Recommend personnel actions, changes of assignment, training, wages, etc. for department.
• Coordinate quality efforts and achieve quality standards.
• Champion 5S and housekeeping programs.
