Position Overview

We are seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift. This role involves managing the operation of a designated area focusing on production, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and human resources. The supervisor will oversee daily personnel management, ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, and drive continuous improvement using Lean tools.

Essential Functions

• Coordinate with support functions for production planning and resource allocation to meet delivery and quality goals.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure targets are achieved.
• Communicate effectively with teams via visual management, shift briefs, and feedback sessions.
• Lead and motivate team members to foster high performance and continuous improvement.
• Ensure safety practices and standard operating procedures are followed.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Support engineering changes, production trials, and model changes.
• Manage resources efficiently to support customer delivery and lean principles.
• Monitor employee attendance and conduct performance counseling.
• Address personnel issues promptly and effectively.
• Ensure operators are trained on products and processes.
• Investigate incidents and non-conformities, and ensure corrective actions are completed timely.
• Promote high standards through personal example and team communication.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide product expertise and support for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with support functions to define processes and controls.
• Meet KPIs through planning, management, and reporting.
• Maintain effective communication with other departments.

Minimum Requirements

• A.S. or B.S. Degree in Business, Management, or related field.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in people management.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• 1-3 years in process improvement, Lean principles, and process management.
• Experience in safety, HR management, warehousing, and quality control.
• Ability to prioritize complex projects.
• ERP system experience is a plus.
