Job summary

Walman Optical is seeking a Production Supervisor for the second shift (Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm–11:00 pm) in Omaha, NE. This full-time role leads manufacturing teams, drives safety, quality and productivity, and coordinates with internal and external partners to meet daily goals.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 4+ years in manufacturing, strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and DVI software. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to solve various types of problems that may involve multiple departments.
• Ability to perform to high levels of competency in all aspects of lab manufacturing.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, DVI software).
• Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to maintain an even workflow and a motivating work environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Manage interactions with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams to achieve daily goals and objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate productivity through team and individual metrics.
• Coach employees on continuous improvement initiatives and development.
• Communicate policies and procedures to the team.
• Schedule vacation hours considering seasonality workloads.
• Maintain production and machine maintenance records.
