Job summary

ONWARD SEARCH in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, drive safety initiatives, and lead continuous improvement. The role is on-site with a temp-to-perm pathway, requiring at least five years of leadership in manufacturing and strong Lean/5S experience.

You will coach hourly staff, manage KPIs, and ensure ISO/IATF compliance while promoting a culture of accountability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to supervise hourly production staff and manage operational KPIs.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kaizen, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop production employees to foster a positive, accountable team culture.
• Manage daily manufacturing activities to meet scheduled goals and optimize productivity.
• Promote and uphold safety standards, leading 5S initiatives and safety training efforts.
• Ensure all production and quality standards are maintained, supporting ISO and IATF compliance.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
