Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Production Supervisor for 1st shift to lead manufacturing teams on the shop floor. This onsite, temp-to-hire role requires hands-on leadership and a strong background in metal fabrication.

You will ensure production schedules are met, coach staff, read blueprints, operate cranes and rigging as needed, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility on the shop floor for minimum of four (5) years
• Leadership position for a minimum of two (2) years
• Ability to measure, compare and perform shop calculations to meet specs
• Experience reading blueprints
• Experience with crane operation
• Rigging experience
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on the shop floor
• Experience with steel and/or aluminum
• Experience leading shop floor employees to meet deadlines
• Flexibility with production schedule changes
• Detail-oriented hands-on approach on the production floor

Responsibilities

• Lead teams throughout the manufacturing facility and lead by example
• Assist with tasks to complete assignments
• Train and motivate staff to meet production requirements and schedules
• Step in to multiple positions; versatile shop floor experience
• Test products/equipment for defects or malfunctions
• Drive a culture of safety and accountability
• Communicate process changes to employees
