Job summary

igus Bearings, Inc. in Rumford, RI is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead the production team and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You will assign work, oversee Team Leaders and Production staff, provide training, document records, and partner with management to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements include five to seven years of production lead experience, lean techniques knowledge, and willingness to overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years production team leader experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques.
• Availability and willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, direction and oversight to the Production Team to ensure safety, quality and delivery.
• Assigns work assignments to the Team Leaders and Production Employees.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed in order to promote personal safety and the safety of others.
• Practices strong engagement with direct reports and team members including accepting diversity of ideas and thoughts, sharing responsibility for success, demonstrating honesty and integrity, helping employees solve problems and showing respect.
• Communicates daily issues and pertinent information to production manager, as needed.
• Provides training to Team Leaders and Production Employees, as needed.
• Facilitate and document all training for new hires including 90 day and annual reviews.
• Manage team HRIS approvals Completes all necessary production paperwork.
• Ensures 5S duties are performed every day on the floor.
• Understands, supports and follows all company policies, practices and procedures.
• Works with Management team to develop process improvement opportunities.
• Performs other assignments as directed.
