Job summary

Toledo Tool & Die in Toledo, OH is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a fast-paced manufacturing team on the 2nd shift. You will plan production, monitor quality, enforce safety, and coordinate with other supervisors to meet daily goals.

The ideal candidate has prior supervisory experience in manufacturing, proficiency with MS Office/Outlook, and a strong work ethic, communication, and leadership skills. Overtime and holiday coverage required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 18 years of age.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role.
• Experience with high-volume resistance welding in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with robotic welding in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends, holidays).

Responsibilities

• Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
• Enforce safety regulations.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production or processing of goods.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure compliance with standards.
• Conduct employee training in equipment operations or safety procedures.
• Interpret specifications and job orders for workers.
• Read and analyze charts and production schedules to determine requirements.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas; comply with safety regulations.
• Authority to stop production when unsafe conditions appear.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
