GPAC is partnering with a growing bakery in Boston, MA to hire a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor (6pm to 3am, Monday through Friday). You will oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring efficient production of high‑quality goods while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising production or shift teams in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, PCQI and GMP compliance is preferred.
  • Ability to manage schedules, train staff, and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate bakery production staff and tasks.
  • Plan and adjust workflows and schedules to hit deadlines.
  • Ensure products meet quality, safety, and appearance standards.
  • Oversee food safety and sanitation per HACCP, PCQI, GMP guidelines.
  • Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance when needed.
  • Provide training to new hires and foster a positive environment.
  • Address production issues promptly and report to management.

2nd Shift Production Supervisor – GPAC, Boston, MA

GPAC is working with an award‑winning family‑owned growing food manufacturer in north central Massachusetts that is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor (6pm to 3am Monday through Friday). The company has been in business for 15+ years and specializes in made‑from‑scratch baked goods crafted with high‑quality ingredients.

In this role you will oversee the daily operations of the bakery's production, ensuring the efficient creation of high‑quality baked goods while maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be self‑driven and thrive in a small rapidly growing environment.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Supervising and coordinating staff: Leading and motivating the production team, assigning tasks, and ensuring adherence to procedures.
  • Production scheduling and management: Assisting in planning and adjusting workflows and employee schedules to meet deadlines and optimize efficiency.
  • Quality control: Ensuring all products meet the bakery's standards for quality, consistency, and appearance.
  • Food safety and sanitation: Maintaining a clean food‑safe environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including HACCP, PCQI and GMP.
  • Equipment maintenance: Overseeing the operation of bakery machinery and coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Training and development: Providing instruction and guidance to new hires and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Problem‑solving: Addressing issues promptly, including equipment malfunctions or production delays.
  • Reporting: Maintaining accurate production records and providing reports to management.
