Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Monticello, IA is seeking a 2nd shift General Labor role within a manufacturing environment. You will read routing, track production, and move materials using an overhead crane and forklift while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of high production manufacturing experience, with strong math and communication skills. Full-time employment includes comprehensive benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1years’ experience in high production manufacturing environment
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, andother technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts
• Ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations and settings is required
• Perform general mathematic calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and division
• Use power hand tools
• Drive a forklift
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines?
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

Responsibilities

• Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor
• Track production on schedule boards
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• General Labor in different departments of the shop facility
• Moving of raw materials with overhead crane and forklift
