Job summary

Abbott, a global healthcare leader, seeks team members for the Columbus Plant in the Nutrition division. This 2nd shift role focuses on manufacturing liquid nutrition products and maintaining quality/safety systems to ensure compliant production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of food processing techniques and documentation.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, troubleshoot equipment, and operate powered industrial vehicles.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a plant production environment (drug/food/beverage preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality and safety system.
• Manufacture liquid adult, pediatric, and medical nutritional products.
• Perform lifting and handling of raw ingredients during weighing, staging and production processes.
• Operate cleaning-in-place (CIP) and cleaning-out-of-place (COP) systems and related sanitation tasks.
• Document manufacturing steps in accordance with work orders and procedures.
• Prepare and monitor bulk slurries for blending and heat treatment processes.
• Operate computer-controlled CIP systems for equipment.
• Receive and unload bulk raw ingredients and CIP chemicals.
• Meet compliance standards including FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies.
