Job summary

Abbott is seeking a quality-focused associate at the Columbus, Ohio plant to implement and maintain the quality and safety system for liquid nutrition products.

You will participate in manufacturing processes for adult, pediatric, and medical nutrition products, handling raw ingredients, cleaning, and documentation in compliance with FDA/OSHA guidelines, with weekend night shifts as described.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs throughout shift.
• Knowledge of food processing techniques and documentation requirements.
• Read and follow work order documents, troubleshoot equipment, and operate powered industrial vehicles.
• Good mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a plant production environment (drug/food/bev manufacturing preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality and safety system.
• Manufacture liquid adult, pediatric and medical nutritional products; lift and handle raw ingredients; operate equipment.
• Perform CIP/COP cleaning, routine housekeeping, and material handling.
• Interact with computer systems; document manufacturing steps per work orders and procedures.
• Prepare/operate/monitor/document bulk slurries for blending and heat treatments; weigh ingredients.
• Operate/monitor/record a computer-controlled CIP system used for equipment.
• Receive/unload bulk raw ingredients and CIP chemicals.
• Meet FDA/OSHA and Abbott policy compliance.
• Weekend Night shifts: Thu 11pm-7:30am, Fri-Sat 7pm-7:30am, Sun 7pm-3:30am
