Job summary

Federal Signal Corporation is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of mechanics on the 2nd shift (4 p.m. – 2:30 a.m., Monday–Thursday) in a shop environment. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, safety, and cross-functional collaboration.

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent; 3+ years of production management experience; strong MS Office skills; experience with chassis, hydraulic, electrical, or plumbing systems is a plus. Background check and drug test required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as Manager in a Production Environment.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word & Excel).
• Experience with chassis, hydraulic, electrical, and/or plumbing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution(s).
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and terminate staff.
• Oversee training of new and existing team members.
• Review prints in SolidWorks and communicate critical information to Production Team Members, Fabrication and/or Engineering.
• Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
• Prepare reports for management.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to order and request deliveries.
• Other duties as needed to meet production requirements.
