Virtual Hire Staffing is seeking a hands-on Production Manager for a plate/manufacturing environment in Florida. You will review production orders, keep schedules on track, and lead the 2nd shift team, shaping the shop floor with proactive problem-solving and safety focus.

Answering to the General Manager, you will build and grow the team, anticipate challenges, and drive on-time output in a fast-paced plant setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–10 years of industry or related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience.
• HAZWOPER training and forklift license required.
• Hands-on factory-floor management experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Strong leadership, organization, and clear communication skills.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Reliable attendance and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Job Summary

A well-established manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to review production orders, keep schedules on track, and lead the shop floor. Working directly with the General Manager, you'll play a central role in building and shaping the 2nd shift team from the ground up — anticipating production and personnel challenges, solving them before they impact output, and maintaining a safe, well-run floor.

This is a floor-level leadership role for someone who thrives on managing both people and production in a fast-moving plating/manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Develop training schedules for new hires and evaluate worker performance

Working Conditions

This is a plant-floor role. Expect exposure to shop elements — noise (hearing protection required), dust, odors, fumes, heat, moving mechanical parts, and airborne particles. Areas may be wet or humid due to heated cleaning and plating tanks containing caustic and acidic solutions. Required safety equipment provided/used as needed.

Dress Code: Steel-toed boots, long pants, and t-shirts (nothing with holes, rips, tears, or offensive graphics).
