Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a dependable 2nd Shift Production Helper to join our manufacturing team in Mayville, WI. You will support the Gemini machine by unloading parts, grinding and finishing metal components, and sorting and counting completed orders.

The role may assist in other production areas as needed, with safety procedures and basic blueprint reading emphasized. Prior manufacturing or metalworking experience is preferred, along with a willingness to learn and work both

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, metalworking, grinding, or fabrication preferred.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and work around metal and sharp objects.
• Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic shop math skills.
• Ability to learn and use precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Unload finished parts from the Gemini machine.
• Grind, deburr, and finish metal parts according to specifications.
• Sort, count, and organize completed parts and order quantities.
• Inspect parts for basic quality requirements.
• Safely use hand tools and grinding equipment.
• Read and follow basic blueprints, shop drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Use basic measuring tools to verify part dimensions.
• Safely move and handle materials throughout the work area.
• Assist other departments and production areas as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Complete assigned work efficiently and within production expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Reporting to the First Operations Manager, the Production Helper primarily supports production at the Gemini machine by unloading parts, grinding and finishing metal components, and sorting and counting completed orders.

This position may also assist in other production departments based on business needs.
