Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate for 2nd shift in Gaffney, SC. Base pay is $16.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour shift differential for the 2nd shift, working Monday to Friday from 3pm to 11pm.

Benefits start day 1, with weekly pay and on-demand pay options. The role involves inspecting extrusion products, packing bundles, maintaining paperwork, and operating fabrication equipment.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more Production/Manufacturing experience required
• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require
• Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance
• Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to concentrate for sustained periods
• Must have good communication skills and be able to interact with people
• Position requires extensive standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walking.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect the extruded product for appearance and size defects according to specifications
• Conduct recurrent tests/inspections of products’ functional features
• Notify appropriate personnel of product defects
• Assemble bundles for packaging
• Ensure proper packing patterns, product counts, and package enclosures
• Identify product not being routed or cut to spec and repackage as needed
• Operate fabrication department equipment (routers, saws, heat tunnel, notchers, crimpers)
• Complete line packaging-related paperwork and maintain clean, safe work areas
