Job Description: Knife Sharpening Technician

We are seeking a reliable, motivated team player in Boardman, OH, to join our sharpening team. In this role, you will operate various stations on our advanced knife sharpening line, including check-in, sharpening, honing, sanitation, quality control, and packaging. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork.

Responsibilities

1. Operate and maintain a section of the knife sharpening line, ensuring high standards of sharpness and safety.
2. Perform tasks such as grinding, edging, honing, buffing, sanitizing, drying, and packaging of knives.
3. Rotate through all station tasks to ensure versatility and comprehensive understanding of the process.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment, conducting daily inspections and minor maintenance.
5. Efficiently handle products moving into and out of the production line.
6. Report any issues related to product quality or equipment to management.
7. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, operating machinery safely and complying with OSHA standards.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for at least 3 hours at a time, with the ability to bend, twist, reach, and move throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 35 lbs as needed.
• Maintain visual acuity and communicate effectively in a busy environment.
• Operate machinery safely for extended periods.
