Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a Processing Assistant for our Richmond, Indiana site. You will operate production equipment to meet quality standards and manage CIP systems, with responsibilities spanning batch preparation, cleaning, and records.

The role requires physical work in hot, humid conditions and adherence to GMPs. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, are able to lift heavy loads, and can work well in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Able to follow directions and carry out instructions.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Make mix/batching for UHT and aseptic systems.
• Set up, CIP and clean UHT and aseptic processing systems and all associated equipment.
• Set up, CIP and clean associated raw and pasteurized equipment (tanks, lines, batch systems, etc.).
• Perform PMs, rebuild valves, pumps and homogenizer, etc.
• Operate and CIP separator and other associated equipment.
• Lift 50 to 100 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Work in hot, humid conditions.
• Complete and maintain all records per company, state and federal requirements.
• Adhere to good manufacturing practices.

DUTIES:

• MAKE MIX/BATCHING FOR UHT AND ASEPTIC SYSTEMS.
• SET UP, CIP AND CLEAN UHT AND ASEPTIC PROCESSING SYSTEMS AND ALL ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.
• SET UP, CIP AND CLEAN ASSOCIATED RAW AND PASTEURIZED EQUIPMENT (TANKS, LINES, BATCH SYSTEMS, etc.)
• PERFORM ASSIGNED PM’s, REBUILD VALVES,PUMPS AND HOMOGENIZER, ETC.
• OPERATE AND CIP SEPARATOR AND OTHER ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT
