Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking an Equipment Operator I to join our 2nd shift production team in Murfreesboro, TN. You will operate printing press equipment, monitor quality, perform routine maintenance, and support safe, efficient production.

Qualifications include basic math, attention to detail, ability to adjust equipment tolerances, reading instructions, and mechanical aptitude. The role requires working on site with a Monday-Thursday night shift.

• Ability to set and adjust equipment mechanisms to required tolerances.
• Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with production equipment.
• Ability to read and understand job instructions, specifications, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate printing press equipment according to job specifications, quality standards, and established procedures.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly equipment maintenance to help ensure reliable operation and quality output.
• Prepare inks to achieve proper color and consistency.
• Verify paper type, size, color, and quantity before production.
• Check plates to ensure the correct format is being used.
• Visually inspect printed materials throughout each run to ensure quality standards are met.
• Work with the Production Team to prioritize jobs and adjust production as deadlines or customer requirements change.
• Follow all safety requirements for the job, equipment, and work area.
