Unique Industries is a family-owned business with over 60 years of industry experience. We are seeking safety minded team members for our state of the art printing department on 2nd shift (3P - 11P).

The Printer operates a printing press to produce products that meet quality standards by printing to proof. The role involves preparing the press, mounting stock, mixing inks, adjusting press settings, aligning web, and performing on-the-fly adjustments to ensure quality output.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand basic written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to communicate with management and coworkers in order to meet departmental goals.
• Ability to determine colors.
• High school diploma or general education degree required.
• Printing experience no required - will train.
• Prior machine operation experience required.
• Prior manufacturing experience required.
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the press for scheduled runs.
• Mounting raw plate, napkin or label stock to the press.
• Determining formulation of inks needed for printer and transferring them into printing stations.
• Making correct pressure adjustments for printing cylinders to attain necessary print.
• Ensuring correct alignment of web.
• Accomplishing any necessary adjustments during the run.
• Removing finished roll from rewind stand at completed run.
