Job summary

Unique Industries is a family-owned business operating a state of the art printing department on the 2nd shift (3P - 11P). The Printer operates a printing press to produce products that meet established quality standards by printing to proof.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork; prior experience is not required as training is provided. Unique Industries offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive, family-like culture.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Printing experience not required – training provided.
Prior machine operation and manufacturing experience required.
Ability to understand basic written and oral instructions.
Ability to perform basic math.
Ability to communicate with management and coworkers to meet departmental goals.
Ability to determine colors.

Responsibilities

Preparing the press for scheduled runs.
Mounting raw plate, napkin or label stock to the press.
Determining formulation of inks needed for printer and transferring them into printing stations.
Making correct pressure adjustments for printing cylinders to attain necessary print.
Ensuring correct alignment of web.
Accomplishing any necessary adjustments during the run.
Removing finished roll from rewind stand at completed run.
