Job summary

Unique Industries, Inc. is seeking a safety-minded team member to operate a state-of-the-art printing press on the 2nd shift (3P-11P). The Printer must produce prints to proof and meet established quality standards, preparing the press for scheduled runs and maintaining alignment and ink consistency throughout jobs.

No printing experience is required as training will be provided; prior machine operation and manufacturing experience are preferred to support efficient production and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic written and oral instruction comprehension.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to communicate with management and coworkers to meet departmental goals.
• Ability to determine colors.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Printing experience not required – will train.
• Prior machine operation experience required.
• Prior manufacturing experience required.
• Equivalents accepted: education/experience may substitute for stated requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the press for scheduled runs.
• Mount raw plate, napkin or label stock to the press.
• Determine formulation of inks and transfer to printing stations.
• Make correct pressure adjustments for cylinders to achieve print quality.
• Ensure correct alignment of web.
• Make necessary adjustments during the run.
• Remove finished roll from rewind stand after completion.
