STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is seeking a 2nd Shift Pressure Test Operator to test manufactured pieces to customer PSI and time specifications, ensuring quality and compliance with procedures.

You will perform visual and dimensional checks, select fittings, operate the pressure test tank, and monitor for leaks, while following safety interlocks and time/pressure limits. Training on the 1st shift is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to follow procedures and work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished products.
• Inspects and tests components, parts, tube details, and assemblies to validate conformance to blue prints and customer instructions.
• Determines appropriate fittings to perform the test.
• Lifts, positions, connects, disconnects, and removes work pieces from the pressure test tank.
• Performs testing based on specific PSI and time limits as outlined by customers.
• Uses tank interlocks and all safety mechanisms during testing.
• Observes test results, inspecting for bubble formation and leaks.
• Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds; standing and manual dexterity required.

This position is responsible for testing manufactured pieces based on specific PSI and time limits as outlined by our customers to ensure quality standards. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with reasonable accommodation when necessary.

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:15PM - 1:45AM / $1.00 Shift Differential / 2nd Shift must be able to train on 1st Shift

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished products.
• Inspect and test components, parts, tube details, and assemblies to validate conformance to blue prints and instructions by customer and to company operating
• Determines appropriate fittings (feeds and caps) to perform the test
• Lifts, positions, connects, disconnects, and removes work pieces from pressure test tank
• Performs testing based on specific PSI and time limits as outlined by our customers to ensure quality standards
• Utilize tank interlocks and all safety mechanisms
• Observe test, inspect for bubble formation, seepage, or water droplets
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time
• Other duties may be assigned as needed
