Job summary

Novolex is seeking an Off Bearer in St. Charles, IL for the 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday). Compensation ranges from $20.53/hr to $25.66/hr, plus a $1.00 shift differential for the 2nd shift.

The role involves operating a zone of press machines, troubleshooting, and optimizing waste and efficiency. Responsibilities include handling blanks, inspecting for defects, stacking and palletizing, completing loads, and assisting with press make-ready and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Picks up the required lanes of cut and printed blanks from the press delivery table.
• Jog blanks and inspects for cutting or printing defects; notifies operator when defects are present.
• Stacks blanks on a pallet to the required height.
• Wraps full pallet with stretch wrap and places completed load tag on the pallet.
• Moves full pallets of blanks with pallet jack to material handling staging area.
• Assists with Make Ready on the press by pulling cylinders, washing pumps, and changing gears.
• Understands how each section of the press operates.
• Performs blade changes properly.
• Assists in machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
