Job summary

Havis, Inc. is seeking a Press Brake Operator for the 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:00pm, Mon–Fri) in our Production - Fabrication department. You will fabricate custom parts using Press Brake and other equipment and ensure parts meet prints.

The role requires reading prints, setting up tools, and working safely; candidates should have at least 1 year experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year experience.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Able to read and understand flat patterns and prints.
• Ability to prepare and run complex bend set ups and forming operations.
• Capable of using all press brake features including bending angles, step bends, back gauge transfers, delays, etc.
• Experienced with measuring instruments such as micrometers, Vernier calipers and angle measurement tools.
• Ability to read quality documents and drawings.
• Follow drawings and verbal directions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Experience in set up and operation of CNC press brakes (Trumpf/Amada exposure a plus).
• General knowledge of workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating custom parts using Press Brake and other machines (Pem, Spot Weld, Deburring/Sanding).
• Receive and prioritize orders; follow instructions.
• Handle raw material from inventory.
• Load and set up tools to produce parts to print.
• Set up daily work per production schedule or directives.
• Work at different workstations as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Move finished goods to inventory or other areas.
• Assist with special projects as assigned by supervisor.
