Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating a band saw or metal-cutting equipment preferred.
• Ability to use measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometers) and complete assessments.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic machine setup capability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with steel/aluminum materials.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate saw equipment to cut, trim, and process steel and aluminum per orders and drawings.
• Review job requirements, materials, dimensions, tolerances, and production priorities before starting.
• Select blades, guides, stops, and machine settings to support safe operation and quality cuts.
• Measure and verify material using measuring tools to ensure spec conformity.
• Load, position, secure, and stage material for cutting operations safely.
• Inspect completed cuts for accuracy, burrs, defects, and conformance to standards.
