Rust Belt Recruiting is seeking a Manufacturing Technician/Machinist for 2nd and 1st shifts in a precision ISO 9001 environment. The role focuses on preparing, setting up, and operating equipment, monitoring part dimensions, and contributing to end-to-end production runs.

You will inspect parts with calipers and gauges, troubleshoot minor issues, log data, mentor newer operators, and uphold Lean 5S standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience operating and setting up manufacturing machinery.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.
• Blueprint reading and technical schematics proficiency.
• Ability to stand 10 hours and work overtime as needed.

Responsabilités

• Set up and run equipment by preparing machines, loading raw materials, and entering program settings prior to production runs.
• Monitor quality by inspecting parts to ensure accuracy to blueprints or drawings.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions.
• Troubleshoot minor machine errors and coordinate with maintenance for heavier repairs.
• Log machine data, track output, and update daily production reports.
• Train and mentor new machine operators on equipment operation and quality requirements.
• Maintain 5S and Lean housekeeping in the production area.
• Perform other duties to support production goals.
