Job summary

Hyperion Materials & Technologies is seeking a Polisher to perform diversified grinding operations to meet drawing dimensions for cemented carbide parts used in the beverage canning industry. The role involves inspection activities to ensure quality standards, with a Safety First mindset to ensure conformity to safety, quality, and environmental standards.

The Polisher will interpret drawings, select appropriate wheels, set up OD machines, and perform regular gauging.

Qualifications

• Uses micrometers and quality inspection tools to verify tolerances.
• Interprets technical drawings, process sheets, and specs to guide work.
• Reads drawings to determine dimensions of finished parts.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and process sheets to determine work to be done.
• Set up and operate OD machines with proper fixtures.
• Perform pre-, in-process, and post-inspection and record readings in inspection software.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow Standard Work and JSA documents.
• Communicate quality concerns to technical support staff.
