Job summary

Anchor Fabrication in Fort Worth, TX seeks a meticulous Quality Control Technician/CMM Operator to inspect metal parts using CMM equipment. You will interpret drawings, calibrate instruments, record measurements and report non-conformances.

You bring 2+ years CMM experience, knowledge of GD&T, CAD/file reading, and proficiency with CMM software. This full-time, second-shift role supports continuous improvement in a busy shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating CMM equipment in metal fabrication/manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CMM software and GD&T competency.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD files.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM equipment (manual/CNC) to measure metal parts and assemblies.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints and CAD models to determine measurement requirements.
• Set up and calibrate CMM machines and inspection tools.
• Record and analyze measurement data; report non-conformances.
• Collaborate with quality and production teams to resolve dimensional issues.
• Maintain inspection records and perform routine CMM maintenance.
