Job summary

Eaton is hiring a CMM Inspector III for the Camarillo, CA site on the 2nd shift with hours 2:15pm–10:45pm. The role focuses on visual, dimensional, and inspection duties for high-precision aerospace parts, using CMMs and hand tools. Strong experience with ASME Y14.5 and a QA system is expected.

The position offers competitive hourly wages plus a $2 shift differential, day-one benefits eligibility, and a direct-hire with Eaton’s comprehensive benefits package. U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years in mechanical inspection of highly complex, close tolerance products.
• Residence within 50 miles of Camarillo, CA facility; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and verify visual, dimensional, electrical, mechanical, environmental and chemical inspections using drawings and procedures.
• Collaborate with high-performance teams to pursue process improvements.
• Inspect incoming and in-process parts and assemblies to conformance with drawings and QC specs.
• Review and accept paperwork and documentation for product acceptance.
• Create manual or computer-generated inspection reports to document results.
• Utilize precision measurement equipment (CMM, calipers, micrometers, gages) for inspections.
• Apply geometrical tolerancing per ASME Y14.5.
• Typically 3–5 years experience in first article inspection of aerospace components.
• Maintain inspection records per company procedures.
• Support corrective/preventive action processes and AS9100 requirements.
