Job summary

Astronics AES is seeking an Assembler and Rework Specialist for the 2nd shift in Redmond, WA. The role requires advanced assembly skills including wire splicing, crimping, soldering, and rework with functional testing to support development hardware.

Base pay includes a $2/hour shift differential for 2nd shift and a salary range reflecting hourly compensation. The position emphasizes training others and collaboration with engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 4–6 years of direct experience in the essential functions.
• Able to perform advanced assembly tasks per drawings and schematics.
• Experience with rework, testing, and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced assembly tasks including wire splicing and crimping, lead and lead-free soldering and component removal.
• Execute rework and functional testing on complex assemblies.
• Work across multiple cells and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Interpret rough schematics, blueprints and oral instructions for development assemblies.
• Train other team members in rework and solder techniques.
• Maintain tolerances to technical drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to support NPI projects.
• Support safety, quality and documentation requirements.
