Job summary

3M is seeking a Plumber/Pipefitter for 2nd shift in Minnesota. You will troubleshoot, install, and maintain piping systems, using welding and joining techniques, while following safety and quality standards. A Minnesota Journeyman license and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED or higher.
• Must possess a Minnesota Journeyman Plumber license and/or Minnesota Journeyman Pipefitter license.
• Must possess a current and valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and repairs or adjusts based on diagnosis using repair parts or by modifying parts and installs piping systems.
• Determines and uses metal joining techniques such as arc and acetylene welding, brazing, and soldering (includes pipe preparation for joining).
• Sets up and operates shop equipment including hand tools, wrenches, and power tools (pipe threader, tube bender, welders, etc.).
• Completes required shop paperwork and reporting following established procedures (Daily Work Records, Route Sheets, etc.).
• Maintains safe work methods to avoid injuries and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.
