Job summary

Vicor Corporation, an American manufacturer of advanced DC-DC converters, is seeking a maintenance technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 3:00 pm–11:00 pm) in Andover, MA.

You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on VI Chip production equipment, provide technical support to operators, and help ensure equipment uptime. The role requires an associate degree in electro-mechanical/electronic engineering, 3+ years with plating equipment, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electro-mechanical / electronic engineering.
• Self-motivated, hands on technician who can work well within a team.
• 3+ years of experience directly supporting plating equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and understand manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs on VI Chip production equipment to meet production schedules.
• Provide continuous technical support to production operators.
• Maintain and purchase spare parts and supplies; manage inventory levels.
• Prepare maintenance reports by collecting and analyzing information and trends.
• Train operators on process and equipment knowledge; support engineering groups.
