Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking an Operator for a plastics manufacturing environment on the 2nd shift. The role involves performing molding, inspection, and related tasks to produce high-quality parts while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include operating and monitoring equipment, loading inserts, trimming excess, and assisting in packaging as required. The position requires standing most of the shift, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in a warm environment.

Qualifications

• Standing in one place for long periods; some bending.
• Lift up to 25 lbs throughout the shift.
• Able to work in a warm environment.
• Able to alternate between standing and sitting in certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing, rework, and inspection operations to produce acceptable products.
• Monitor molds and tooling to prevent defects and ensure proper shutdown readiness.
• Load inserts, trim flash, and trim gates; print, assemble, drill, gauge parts as needed.
• Maintain cycles, monitor for leaks, and report safety or equipment malfunctions.
• Follow instructions, relay information to relieving operators, and perform inspection/packaging tasks as assigned.
• Review job station information on part quality, packaging, and safety; keep work area clean.
