Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Coating-Plasma Chemical Process Operator for the 2nd shift (3:00pm – 11:30pm) in San Antonio. You will apply coatings to turbine components as part of a manufacturing team, ensuring quality and compliance with work instructions and customer specs.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and 3–5 years in manufacturing; you must read blueprints and work well in a team. Overtime may be required; a strong safety mindset and continuous improvement focus are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required for the role.
• On-the-job manufacturing experience preferred (3–5 years).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs spray coating application and monitors coating adherence per work instructions and specs.
• May perform assembly, disassembly, blending, grit blast and masking/prep per instructions.
• Follows plant safety rules and maintains high quality in all work.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Prepares quality documents and verifies own work using inspection tools.
• Adheres to 5S policies and supports continuous improvement.
