Job summary

Luck Stone’s Rockville Plant is seeking a Plant Operator who is mechanically inclined and safety‑minded to keep crushers, conveyors, screens, feeders, and bins running smoothly. The overnight shift rotates among Rockville, Boscobel, Powhatan, and South Richmond locations, prioritizing safety and quality in daily operations.

The role involves pre‑shift inspections, maintenance tasks, welding, fabrication, and supporting site projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating plant equipment or performing maintenance in a similar environment.
• Comfort working from elevated platforms and other heights.
• Mechanically inclined with strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑shift inspections of the plant.
• Assist with preventative and reactive maintenance: changing screens, greasing, rollers, belt splices, rebuilding crushers, welding, fabrication.
• Cut, weld, gouge, and fabricate as needed.
• Run equipment to support site operations.
• Inspect and monitor the plant to ensure proper operation.
• Assist with other site projects as requested by management.

Job Overview

Luck Stone's Rockville Plant is looking for a Plant Operator who is mechanically inclined, safety‑minded, and ready to keep our crushers, conveyors, screens, feeders, and bins running at their best. This overnight shift rotates weekly between our Rockville, Boscobel, Powhatan, and South Richmond sites. Production is the core of our business, and Plant Operators are the hands‑on experts who ensure our equipment stays in top‑condition — because at Luck Stone, safety and quality go hand in hand.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑shift inspections of the plant
• Assist with preventative and reactive maintenance: changing screens, greasing, changing rollers, belt splices, rebuilding crushers, welding, and fabrication
• Cut, weld, gouge, and fabricate as needed
• Run equipment as needed to support site operations
• Consistently inspect and monitor the plant to ensure proper operation
• Assist with other site projects as requested by management and team members
• Stay flexible to support teammates on other projects as needed
• Help keep the site clean and organized at the end of each shift

What You Bring

• Mechanically inclined with proven work experience
• Prior experience preferred operating and/or performing maintenance in a similar environment
• Comfortable working from elevated platforms and other heights without fear

Schedule

Onsite, Monday through Thursday 4PM-4AM

Pay & Benefits

Pay starts at $24.38 per hour plus shift differential, and could increase upon skills and experience evaluation from management.
