Job summary

Prairie-Farms-Dairy in Woodbury, MN is seeking a Second Shift Plant Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair production equipment, utilities, and facilities to keep operations safe and efficient. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a manufacturing maintenance role, with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and HVAC experience, and is able to read schematics and work in a wet environment.

Applicants must pass pre-employment screens, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and work flexible hours

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred; formal maintenance training desired.
2+ years experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing.
Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC and HVAC experience.
Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain operation of machinery and equipment by completing planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utilities.
Read schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Perform preventative maintenance activities and document results.
Use hand and power tools, meters, and handling equipment as needed to maintain equipment.
Communicate with other departments and supervisors about issues impacting production.
Follow SOPs and ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
