Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Zumbrota, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician for second shift (3pm-11pm). The role focuses on keeping production and processing equipment running safely and efficiently, with strong preventive maintenance, repairs, and documentation.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, perform welding and fabrication as needed, support new equipment installations, and work with operators to minimize downtime while adhering to GMP, HACCP, and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of mechanical/electrical education or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Must obtain 1st class B boilers license within 12 months.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment following safety procedures.
• Support installation of new equipment and upgrades.
• Assist operators with training and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Document all repairs and maintenance activities.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance (GMP, HACCP, SQF).
• Read and follow process controls and schematics; perform basic welding as needed.
• Utilize standard maintenance tools safely and read English instructions.
