Job summary

LGI foundation is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a second shift in Lytton, IA. The role focuses on keeping all plant machinery and facilities safe and running efficiently through preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration.

The technician will log repairs, manage spare parts, and coordinate with management to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include maintaining cooling and heating systems, repairing pipes, pumps and motors, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school preferred.
• 2+ years in an industrial maintenance setting required.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair plant machinery to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Test and service cooling/heating systems, pumps, valves and motors.
• Record maintenance activities and parts in the maintenance system.
• Initiate work orders and prioritize tasks to minimize downtime.
• Support safety, sanitation and food safety programs as needed.
• Operate company vehicles and industrial equipment as required.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors and engineering for capital projects.
• Follow EHS policies and maintain housekeeping in work areas.
