Job summary

Heidelberg Materials in Torrance, PA is seeking a Plant Maintenance / Ground Person for the 2nd shift (4pm–2am, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays during crushing season). You will perform maintenance on crushers, screens and conveyors, lubricate bearings, and assist with hauling tasks as needed.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, safety focus, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather. Offered wage is $24.50/hour plus a $1.00/hour shift differential, with a $2,000 sign-on

Qualifications

• Available to work 10–12 hr shifts M-F 4pm–2am with some Saturdays during crushing season.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work in varying outdoor conditions and environments.
• Safety-minded with a proactive attitude toward improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize plant operations.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities.
• Lubricate bearings and perform routine crusher, screen and conveyor maintenance.
• Install and replace bearings, speed reducers, shafts, belts and related components.
• Repair and maintain crushing and screening equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed and support with hauling tasks.
